CEDAR REVIVAL

Cedar Revival was started 3 years ago when Doug and his partner Inge came to the Coromandel for a holiday.  It became clear as they explored the area further that there were a lot of cedar houses in the area that were in need of restoration and maintenance.  Doug had previously worked for the reputable "Cedar Doctor" in Auckland as a Senior Cedar Technician.  As Doug & Inge explored further, they realised that with many Coromandel towns situated close to the coast, the weather conditions was causing timber cladding to deteriorate more rapidly.  With further research, it became apparent there was no local specialist company carrying out cedar restoration work in the Coromandel area.  The opportunity for a great work and lifestyle balance was an attractive proposition.  "We are committed to the Coromandel - as they say, it's good for the soul.  Many of our local customers have been so welcoming and friendly".
